“What the mind suppresses, the body expresses.” This is the essence of psychosomatic bodywork. Emotions and experiences that are not processed with the necessary support are stored in the body as tension, pain, and armoring. They are the physical signs of what we’re suppressing and the visible reminders of trauma.
During my psychosomatic bodywork sessions, we work with breath, touch, and movement to create a dialogue with your body and subconscious through which the process of awareness, release, and healing can begin. You’ll be able to release layers that no longer serve you so that you can find a deeper connection to yourself, your needs, your self-confidence, and inner peace.
The Enrootment Method is a way to open up and release tension from the emotional, energetic, and physical body. It offers a somatic approach to exploring your inner world and creating new pathways to increase resilience, happiness, creativity, and authenticity.
When we have experiences and emotions that we don’t manage to express and digest, they can leave scars. Psychologically, these scars show up as protection mechanisms. In the body, these traumas show up as blockages, pain, and tension. Also the nervous system can get dysregulated. We can get stuck in a continuous stress-response and feel agitated, irritable, angry, anxious, hypervigilant, or fearful. This can become the “familiar hell” we go to every time things are challenging. It’s also possible that your nervous system gets stuck in a frozen or collapsed state. If that is the case, you might feel tired all the time, suffer from depression, low self esteem, or feel hopeless and directionless.
The Enrootment Method is a trauma-informed form of bodywork rooted in a psychotherapeutic framework where we allow the body to lead the healing process. Through touch and pressure, we go into dialogue with the protectors, release suppressed emotions, and restore the nervous system.
In my intuitive healing sessions, I create a space where you are welcome to let go, reconnect with your heart, fill your cup, and experience deep relaxation and rejuvenation.
Each session is unique because I always tailor it to the needs of the client. My sessions often include a combination of verbal techniques, bodywork and massage, breathwork, and sound healing with singing bowls and other instruments.
While emotions can come up during this session, and are welcomed, they do not focus on uprooting material but instead focus on stabilization, integration, and deep restoration.
It’s possible to add an extra dimension to the sessions by integrating plant medicines (see below).
For some people, it is possible to integrate working with plant medicines into my Intuitive Healing Sessions as they can offer an extra dimension to the healing work.
If you would like to integrate plant medicines into your session, please communicate this in advance. The price of adding a plant medicine to your session depends on the length of your session and the desired plant medicine. I also sell herbs and aromatherapy products at my practice.
All sessions include time for verbal therapy, intention setting, and integration.
If it’s your first session, I recommend booking a session of 1,5 hours.
What to wear? Sessions happen fully clothed. Wear comfortable, loose and breathable clothing. It can be useful to wear multiple layers so that you can adjust according to your temperature.
