Yoga for Mental Health

1-on-1 Sessions

What Is Psychosomatic Bodywork?

“What the mind suppresses, the body expresses.” This is the essence of psychosomatic bodywork. Emotions and experiences that are not processed with the necessary support are stored in the body as tension, pain, and armoring. They are the physical signs of what we’re suppressing and the visible reminders of trauma.

During my psychosomatic bodywork sessions, we work with breath, touch, and movement to create a dialogue with your body and subconscious through which the process of awareness, release, and healing can begin. You’ll be able to release layers that no longer serve you so that you can find a deeper connection to yourself, your needs, your self-confidence, and inner peace.

Psychosomatic therapy helps you process emotions, heal past pain and trauma, and get in touch with your authenticity, creativity, and self-expression.

Enrootment Sessions

The Enrootment Method is a way to open up and release tension from the emotional, energetic, and physical body. It offers a somatic approach to exploring your inner world and creating new pathways to increase resilience, happiness, creativity, and authenticity.

When we have experiences and emotions that we don’t manage to express and digest, they can leave scars. Psychologically, these scars show up as protection mechanisms. In the body, these traumas show up as blockages, pain, and tension. Also the nervous system can get dysregulated. We can get stuck in a continuous stress-response and feel agitated, irritable, angry, anxious, hypervigilant, or fearful. This can become the “familiar hell” we go to every time things are challenging. It’s also possible that your nervous system gets stuck in a frozen or collapsed state. If that is the case, you might feel tired all the time, suffer from depression, low self esteem, or feel hopeless and directionless.

The Enrootment Method is a trauma-informed form of bodywork rooted in a psychotherapeutic framework where we allow the body to lead the healing process. Through touch and pressure, we go into dialogue with the protectors, release suppressed emotions, and restore the nervous system.

Intuitive Healing Sessions

In my intuitive healing sessions, I create a space where you are welcome to let go, reconnect with your heart, fill your cup, and experience deep relaxation and rejuvenation.

The sessions include bodywork and massage, breathwork, and sound healing with singing bowls and other instruments. While emotions can come up during this session, and are welcomed, they do not focus on uprooting material but instead focus on stabilization, integration, and deep restoration.

Intuitive Healing sessions are deeply nourishing to support you through moments of grief, recovery, exhaustion, or when you need presence and care.

It’s possible to add an extra dimension to the sessions by integrating plant medicines (see below).

Embodiment & Self-Regulation Sessions

Would you like to feel more connected to your body and learn tools to regulate your nervous system and improve your overall sense of well-being? In my Embodiment & Self-Regulation sessions I guide you through exercises to connect with the messages and wisdom of your body−and give you tools for self-regulation.

If you want to learn practical exercises that you can do at home to help you release stress, manage anxiety, relax, fall asleep, feel more grounded, clear your mind, feel more vital, support you through depression, recover from burnout, regulate your nervous system, feel more free and flexible in your body, enhance sensual awareness, … welcome for a session.

In each session, we work on regulating the nervous system and enhancing the body-mind connection by focusing on sensations and feelings. In each session, you also learn new practical tools to take home. After a few sessions, we can put together a whole morning or evening routine, and you’ll have simple body and breath-based tools to support and regulate yourself.

The tools I use are based in therapeutic breathwork, yoga therapy, somatic experiencing, yoga nidra, guided relaxation, focusing, polyvagal theory, nervous system regulation, and somatics.

Which Session?

I pay special attention to nervous system regulation, embodiment, and the healing power of deep relaxation. I work intuitively so that I can attune to your needs and the information your body gives me. The tools and techniques I use are based in my trainings in Enrootment Method, Thai Massage, Sound Healing, Somatic Experiencing, Yoga Therapy, and Shamanic and Energetic Work.

Plant Medicines

For some people, it is possible to integrate working with plant medicines into my Intuitive Healing Sessions as they can offer an extra dimension to the healing work.

  • CBD oil: for deep relaxation, inner calm, and restoring the nervous system
  • Rapé: to break through mental patterns, purify the body, grounding, free the heart, and clear the mind
  • Sananga: to let go, release, bring to the surface and express suppressed materials, and heal the eyes
  • Bobinsana: to heal the emotions and the heart

If you would like to integrate plant medicines into your session, please communicate this in advance. The price of adding a plant medicine to your session depends on the length of your session and the desired plant medicine. I also sell herbs and aromatherapy products at my practice.
